FULL MOON REACTION is now available
The second edition of Justin Geoffrey's essay collection now belongs to 1325 Publishing
Justin Geoffrey, the enigmatic “Christian alchemist” who hails from both Canada and the United States, first emerged as a distinct voice in the so-called Weird Right scene in the winter of 2021-2022. During that season of “suffering and death,” Mr. Geoffrey published a slew of essays and sketches for Terror House Magazine and other publications. While many of these pieces exuded the kind of darkness and dourness that was common during the COVID era, Geoffrey’s work also looked forward to a brighter future when a new reactionary politics would emerge from the ashes of what he termed “the Biden Interregnum.” Full Moon Reaction, which was originally published by Terror House in January 2022, is a compendium that presents Mr. Geoffrey’s views on republicanism, monarchism, democracy, religion, and the American experiment.
Full Moon Reaction goes beyond politics as well. Geoffrey also discusses contemporary trends and sociological matters—dating, wage work, nostalgia, etc. However, more than anything else, Mr. Geoffrey’s first book is an exhaustive study of occultism and its connections to American history and the American present.
The reissue of Full Moon Reaction coincides with Mr. Geoffrey’s return to writing after the unexpected collapse of the Dissident Review in the spring of 2024. For those interested in a taste of Geoffrey’s scholarship, look no further than his essay “Grail Contra Cross” in the latest issue of Apocalypse Confidential.
We are proud to publish the Second Edition of Full Moon Reaction, which includes a never-before published essays entitled “After the Undead.” Few books better capture the COVID era than Full Moon Reaction, plus some of Geoffrey’s essays, most notably “Cynicism and Despoiled Flesh,” which was written when concerns about pedophile rings and the Epstein Files were suppressed by the mainstream media and castigated as populist lunacy by both political parties, serve as reminders about how much even the recent past has been altered and/or forgotten.
Full Moon Reaction can be found here.
Mr. Geoffrey’s second book, The Stone Portal, was similarly reissued by 1325 Publishing and is available for purchase at Amazon.
